David helped me spec out and install a Trane system in 2017, and everything worked great. Unfortunately my compressor failed in 2024. Although Cy-Fair Mechanical no longer works with Trane systems, David stood by his installation and helped me navigate the warranty policy and fix an error on Tranes end which ultimately saved me a fortune in repairs through a competitor (that still specializes in Trane systems). I cant recommend his company enough.

Cy-Fair Mechanical has now replaced both of my AC units. They replaced my first failed unit in 2017. They were very easy to work with, very professional, showed up on time and did everything they promised. They completed the work fast, did not make a mess. It was easy and painless for me the customer. I did a price comparison and they were very competitive. My second unit was still working but almost 20 years old. I went ahead in early 2018 and decided to replace it before it failed in the middle of a hot Houston summer. I called Cy-Fair Mechanical again. Same great service and results. Both new units are working well and saving on my electric bill. Theyre good people. I give them 5 stars and 2 thumbs up. Based on my personal experience on two occasions, Id recommend this company to anyone needing AC work or a full replacement.

These guys are top notch! Turn around time from placing the service request to the time a tech comes out is super quick, and you get updates and confirmations via text regarding your services. My air conditioner stopped working last night unfortunately. I remembered Cy-Fair Mechanical from work they had done for me a few years ago so I called them around 9 pm to see when they could have someone come out. David answered and was able to get Tommy out to me the next day by noon! The first time I employed this company they were excellent all around on craftsmanship, price and professionalism and did exactly the same on this repair. Most importantly, I wanted to deal with someone who was honest and professional. David Moor has both qualities. He didnt try typical sales tactics, pushes or nickel or dime for petty items. His crew was well experienced and knowledgeable. My experience was great and I would highly recommend Cy-Fair Mechanical.

Cy-Fair Mechanical gave me fair price and the crew did excellent work. They removed old HVAC and cleaned up area before installing new one. They clearly explained everything about the AC and heater components as well. The owner communicated very well with me and instead of over selling me on something I didn’t need he made sure to provide the system that was necessary for my heating and cooling needs.

Cy-Fair Mechanical has been providing service and maintenance on my Cooling and Heating systems for the past 10 years. With the age of my systems getting up around 14 years I knew it was time to look at replacing them. I asked David, owner of Cy-Fair Mechanical, for a quote to replace the complete systems on my home. I also called 3 other local HVAC companies for comparative proposals. Two of the other companies sent pushy sales people that I had to dang near throw out of my house to get rid of them. They treated me like they were selling used cars. Their prices were around 15-20% higher than Cy-Fair Mechanical. The other company’s representative was better and more personable. He provided quotes more comparable to Cy-Fair Mechanical, with similar scopes of work. In the end I went with Cy-Fair Mechanical due to our long service relationship and a slightly better price. On the day of install, Alfredo showed up with the install crew and they worked diligently to get the job completed with as little inconvenience to us as possible. When they were finished, Alfredo walked me through the job and answered all my questions and showed me what he did. Ryan went through the thermostats with me. They cleaned up completely and everything looked exactly as it did before they arrived. I was completely satisfied with the process and the prices for the project. I highly recommend this company for all your HVAC needs.

I got 4 estimates for a total replacement for our 3200 sq ft home. Cy-Fair Mechanical bet the next best price by $8000 and with the top of the line Trane xl20i. The crew was professional and worked fast. They were very careful to protect the carpet and covered everything under the areas they worked. Everything they put is was quality stuff - despite the low cost of the bid, everything down to the replacement duct work was of the highest quality and well insulated. I was very impressed!When they were done, they were not happy with the flow up the existing gas furnace exhaust. They could have walked away and I would never have known anything, but instead they came back and re-did the entire exhaust, at no extra cost, just to remove some old existing turns in the pipe they didnt like and felt it may play a small role in reducing efficiency!Dave, the owner, has called me several times since the install to make sure everything was working great. The one time I did have some programming questions on the system, he didnt just guide me over the phone, he came over and showed me.In a world of profit driven companies and declining customer service and after sales support - Cy-Fair Mechanical is not like anyone else. You will not regret your business with them!

Well, this is going to be a different review. I went out to Cy-Fair Mechanical through Home Advisor. David came out as scheduled, went over everything with me, gave me a quote like I asked, but unfortunately, I went with another provider. I told David of this, and of course, he was disappointed .BUT, heres where his value came in. David even went as far as to coach me through the process, equipment needs, etc. He wanted to make sure the one I awarded my job to wasnt taking advantage of me. David asked that I send the model numbers of the coil, furnace and condensers to make sure that I was getting proper 16 SEER equipment. He didnt have to do this. But, he did. What an honest person! As a business owner, I highly appreciated this. I offered to give him some $$$ for his trouble, and he declined. He simply asked that I provide a Google review. Of course, I will gladly give him a Google review. I can assure you, next time I have an AC issue, I will contact Davids company, Cy-Fair. Mechanical.

Furnace quit working during the freezing weather. I searched on line for repairman with high customer satisfaction.Found Cy-Fair mechanical and set up an appointment with David the business owner.They sent Thomas the next morning who was very courteous and professional. He found a bad circuit board. He located the part locally and had the job finished on a very acceptable time range.I appreciate the use of texting and email to keep you posted on appointment and arrival time.Very pleased with the service from Cy-Fair Mechanical.

I called David for a quote and his bid came in lower than other providers I had gotten bids from. This made me nervous at first but after reading some of the reviews, I decided to take my chances. I am glad I did. A crew of 5 guys arrived at my house promptly at the expected time and worked non-stop for the next 7 hours during which they replaced 2 entire units. I received 4 quotes for an AC system. Cy-Fair Mechanical came in cheaper than the competition by a good amount. The major standout for me was the attention. David explained everything to me and made sure I understood the difference between the system options. The unit was installed several months ago and Ive had no issues with it.

I am selling my house in two weeks and I woke up to NO A/C. Had one AC guy out here and he told me that I needed a new compressor and that it was best to replace the unit. So I started calling around to get quotes and Cy-Fair mechanical insisted on checking the unit and since there was no charge to check it I said okay. They came out and did some tests, replaced a capacitor and now my AC is running great. These guys saved me every bit of $4K. Honest, knowledgeable, and responsive. Hard to find a good AC company that is fairly priced, knowledgeable, and honest. They will get all my business from now on.

David, the owner, is responsive, trustworthy, and professional. Traits that seem to be in short supply in this day and age. To give a little backstory: My 14 year old upstairs A/C system wasnt cooling so I decided to go through my home warranty. Long story short, the company my home warranty sent to my house was trying to nickel and dime me without actually fixing the problem. Just putting a Band-Aid on it. I did some research on Google and found Cy-Fair Mechanical. And boy Im sure glad I found this company. Davids prices and quality are hard to beat. I ended up replacing the whole system (outdoor condenser, coil, and furnace). David and his crew were able to knock all of it out in one morning. I am very happy with the results and plan on using them for all future HVAC work.

Our A/C went out at 5 PM on Friday June 1st 2018. I called around frantically to 4 A/C companies. I had left a message with Cy-Fair Mechanical but figured I wouldnt hear back until at least the next day. When I had just about given up and figured my family would be spending the night at a hotel and maybe have an expensive visit over the weekend I received a text. It was from Dave, owner of Cy-Fair Mechanical. Based on the message I had left he was fairly confident of the problem and provide instructions on how to repair it myself. It ended up being a blown fuse in our furnace and he guided me every step of the way. Not only did David save our weekend and big $, he restored my faith in service companies. We will definitely be using Cy-Fair Mechanical next time we need service. I can tell from the reviews and my own experience that David and his company are first rate people.

I called at 8am and I had a service tech out to fix my AC issue by 3pm the same day. Tommy showed up diagnosed and completed the repair within an hour and a half. He was professional and courteous. Davids team did an excellent job on installing a new condenser unit today. As stated in previous reviews, he will give you the best options and explain them to make sure you understand. I have used his company in the past to install coils and a furnace. I will call him again for any future AC/heating needs.

Cy-Fair Mechanicals crew were great. They put drop cloths down on the carpet and cleaned up after themselves. Got the new system up and running as well as adding some needed ductwork. After getting a $570 electricity bill, we decided it was time to stop wasting money on the 17 year old ac and upgrade to a high efficiency ac system. I had some personal recommendations for Cy-Fair as well as some experience with some repairs. Also, Cy-Fairs estimate for this new 20 SEER system was the best I found. The work got done in a day. The new system is working so well.Now that its winter, we needed some air balance adjustment. Tommy came out and spent the time needed to adjust dampers and show me how to do it in the future. More great service.I recommend Cy-Fair Mechanical to everyone for maintenance, repairs, or new installations.

Update 7/4/2020: Cy-Fair Mechanical still 5-star rated :-)The two units noted below are about 8 years old, still operating as expected and efficiently keeping my home cool and my electric bills low. Exactly what I wanted. However ... after years of operation, some things can be expected to fail. My Independence Day 4th of July gift from my 5-ton Trane was a failed coil and a gradually warming home. I called David Moore at Cy-Fair Mechanical, described the situation and got a few instructions that I could easily perform to enable a preliminary assessment of what had failed. I called David back 90 minutes later and his diagnosis was that the coil apparently had failed. It would be a simple repair and he could either come out on Monday or he would do his very best to fit me in TODAY ... on the 4th ... if I would accept a holiday upcharge and an overtime charge because the technician was working on a national holiday and would be working later than the end of his 8 hour day. I get it, and it is what I expected so no problem there. Tommy (ask for Tommy, good guy, great work) came out with the correct part and had the unit working in under 30 minutes for about $300 total. Would have been cheaper if I had waited until Monday but because I have temperature sensitive stuff in my home, postponing a solution was not in scope. Getting back online was well worth the modest upcharge and as I have experienced at every call, the service was very impressive. This is why I call Cy-Fair Mechanical when I need AC and heating work. They consistently demonstrate they understand cutomer service and they get the job done as promised in advance with no surprises at payment time. Perfect!Cy-Fair Mechanical installed my twoTrane systems (4&5 ton units) in 2012. The electricity savings have almost justified the purchase of these high efficiency systems. But the comfort has made all the difference. They come periodically to inspect and maintain my systems. They have never had to add Freon or fix anything. Maybe it’s Trane. Maybe it Cy-Fair Mechanical. It’s probably both. I have had an exceptionally good experience with my air conditioning systems. I strongly recommend Cy-Fair Mechanical and their air conditioning solutions. They are good people.

Cy Fair Mechanical LLC saved me from having to replace my Lennox 3 ton commercial unit. The two prior AC companies claimed to have put Freon into my system but it didnt cool down. They advised replacing a 5 year old unit. I called David Moore (owner) and told him what had happened last week and he promptly came over to my business, put in some refrigerant, and low and behold I came in on Monday and the system is working. It may leak somewhat but it is blowing cool air finally. I appreciate his professionalism, giving me options, and explaining my situation. It is called trust and I have it with him and his company.

They removed and replaced the original 19 year old system, added a larger plenum so ductwork could be re-routed for better air flow and allowing easier access to the unit. My ac went off and didnt understand why I was changing my thermostat I followed directions. I called Cy-Fair mechanical and spoke to Dave he said before he sent someone out, he was so patient and walked me through and told me were the fuse was on the furnace and told me to replace it . It cost me $3.00 . This is an honest company and honest man they could of easily got my money and just came over and charged me 100s I was ready to buy a new unite . They are going in my phone book for all my ac needs

Meant to post this a couple of months ago. We went from the need for an annual maintenance check to our upstairs unit not cooling in the matter of a couple of days. David bent over backwards to get to us outside of his normal working hours. Had he not, we wouldve lost half of our handmade products. He was able to get the issue fixed quickly, which was a manufacturing defect. We were back to comfortable in a matter of a couple of hours.

My partner and I hired this company for our yearly update on our air conditioning unit all the way where we live here in downtown from cypress. The service was amazing and honestly you couldn’t beat the prices compared to other local companies. Will definitely be using them for now on in our home.

This is the second HVAC system we’ve had them install. They are the best and I recommend them highly.I would like to add that if you are servicing your HVAC through a home warranty company, please be advised that the service company they send you may tell you the only way you can get the repair cost going towards a new unit is to use them. They will overcharge you and claim they are giving you a credit. The warranty company wins, the repair company wins and you lose. Went from a $12k quote from them to a better HVAC with all new ducts from a company I can trust for $4k less. Do yourself a favor and call David at Cy-Fair.

We called to have our broken AC fixed. They were able to send out technicians the same day to troubleshoot the issues. They determined that the parts were under warranty and referred us to a company that would replace the parts under manufacturers warranty. Very honest service. Will definitely use them in the future.

I came home to a warm house and panic struck. I remembered a story from the news about a company that helped an elderly person when there AC quit on them and I said to my self if I ever had an AC problem I would call Cy-fair Mechanical. So as promised I called a company I believe in. A technician came out within an hour and had me up and running within two hours. They found the problem and did the repairs at a lower cost than I could have imagined. If I ever come home to a warm house again I won’t panic because I know who I’m going to call.

This past Mon/Tues, we had our 3 ac units, 3 furnaces, 3 thermostats, plus 5 returns replaced with quality Lennox products, through Cy-Fair Mecanical. It all began when we had our upstairs ac unit checked by another ac maintenance co., we had signed up with, come check it. We were tired of hearing how HOT our kiddos were upstairs! The bad news was delivered that our Carrier builders grade unit, although functioning-barely, was breaking and not repairable. We were aware that our downstairs units, also, were getting old too. The gentleman from the maintenance co. gave us a quote to replace our unit w/a good, better, best Daikin unit and create the 5 returns, (we learned that although Perry builds a good home, they generally do not put returns in bedrooms, since we are supposed to all sleep w/our doors open, lol!) His quotes were so high, my husband and I realized we needed to get more quotes. Boy, are we glad we did!We got 4 others: 1 more Daikin, 1 Lennox and 2 Trane. To be fair, all the companies gave a variety of quotes for different ac capacity units, (and furnaces and thermostats when needed with better ac units). Davids quotes for the different Trane units was most competitive. Then he surprised us by announcing he could offer Lennox, instead of the quoted Trane units, (at even a higher SEER) w/energy efficient furnaces and the latest thermostats AND save us $1000, after all rebates applied. Who does that? (David had quoted Trane at 1st, but while we were deciding what to do, he became a Lennox dealer again.) He & his crew showed up on time Mon, introduced themselves & got to work. They were so quiet, we hardly knew they were here. AND IT WAS HOT!! They got the 2 downstairs units, 2 of the 3 thermostats and 2 of the 3 furnaces completed on Mon. Alfredo was very nice, they were efficient and cleaned up after themselves. It was a very long day for the men. They turned back around and came Tue to complete the work. The 5 returns look like they were here when the Perry house was built in 2008. My husband and I cannot express how pleased we are that we chose Cy-Fair Mechanical to replace our acs, furnaces, thermostats and build the returns. We have great warranties on everything, but we shall use them for our maintenence work. I highly recommend them for the work you need done. Alfredo, one of the installers was able to point out a deficiency in a previously installed furnace used for the upstairs area. Finding this deficiency will keep carbon monoxide from coming into our house. They were able to fix the issue right away along with installing the new furnace for the downstairs area. I strongly recommend Cy-Fair Mechanical, Ive called at least 7 vendors in the area to request a free estimate and to replace our HVAC because our Lennox compressor breakdown after 11 years of service. Cy-Fair Mechanical offered us the best alternative at the best price. We upgrade our HVAC with a new Trane XR 15 (5 Ton) with indoor coils for $1,200 under the competition.

Wow!!! Amazing company. Was getting bullied and cheated by another company and called them just to get a simple 2nd opinion. They not only showed up the next day, but they also temporarily gave me a fix so my home was not 93 degrees inside and then came and fixed in completely 3 days later after I fired the original company. On Monday (5-7-18), I called for a quote to replace two aged HVAC units at noon; David came by a 3:45 pm same day, and received quote the next day. One unit had issues cooling on and off for the last 9 mos, which prompted my inquiry.I decided to go with Cy-Fair Mechanical, because the quote was in my budget, David asked ME what I needed and how I use the current HVAC, plus the reviews on Google and here at Angies List are 4-5 stars. I had two other quotes (the prices (higher) and reviews (lower or 4 years old) and the salesperson didnt inquire to use of need which is important in assuring the right outcome.David did all that and more! After discussing the quote with David and authorizing the work. I asked about the troubled unit. At no cost to me, David sent Tommy to put freon in the old unit which got me through until the install the following Monday.Install day (5-14-18), WOW! What an Outstanding Experience! Two complete HVAC units dismantled and 2 HVAC units replaced in ONE day!!! Alfredo, Ryan, and Robert, plus one or two others did an excellent job. The crew kept me informed and did an excellent job. After they left, I couldnt even tell they had been to my home, no mess and no fuss! Ryan took time twice to show me the new thermostats settings and Alfredo came and asked again if I had any other questions.The new A/C is quiet and took my upstairs went from 90 degrees to 75 degrees in about 2 hours and downstairs went from 84 degrees to 73 in about 2.5 hours; amazing!A/C - Replaced a 2.5 ton and a 3 ton AC 10 SEER units with two 3 ton 16 SEER units. HV - Replaced a 30 year old furnace and a 15 year old furnace with two 80% High-Efficiency units.I was really appreciative that the crew showed respect for each other and me, during the whole process, which is something I rarely see in the fast-paced, modern world of today.
