ATS Mechanical Heating & AC - Cypress

After getting an quote from another well known company, ATS came out and gave us a detailed report that made sense and was cost effective. The technician Tom was very precise and gave us a rundown that was easy for someone not in the industry to understand. After the first visit Tom amd his crew were very professional and did an excellent job. Everything they fixed looks top notch! We definitely recommend this company for your A/C needs!

ATS was called out because upstairs ac/furnace was not working. Erick, the tech, found the blower and circuit board both to be bad. It was not going to cost that much more for a new furnace and blower since the old furnace was 14 yrs old. They recommended this route and I agreed. Best part of this process was they relocated the entire unit back to its original location in the attic. (When the unit was replaced by another company in 2011, they put the furnace in a location that blocked my access to the other units in the attic as well as my water heaters.) ATS put the new unit back where it was supposed to be making my attic access much safer. Techs were polite and professional and left my carpeting and the attic area clean.

Id like to thank ATS Mechanical Heating & AC for their responsiveness, professionalism, and hard work when my heating unit failed to work. Id especially like to send my appreciation to Tom for explaining the situation in easy to understand terms and getting the unit back online and working properly. I will certainly contact ATS for any future heating and cooling needs and I recommend their service if you ever need help.

During the past three years ATS has serviced my home ac system ~4-5 times, including repair of a blown Hard Start Kit (3 year old), cleaning up wiring errors from previous installer and today changed out Hard Start to Soft Start (Eltwin) to improve operation for use with new portable generator. In All events, from initial service call to completion Ive been absolutely satisfied with. Tom Caldwell has performed all above, he is very skilled & experienced, attentive to details and a pleasure to be around. I sincerely trust and appreciate Tom and the entire ATS team as my service provider.

Second service on our A/C , just a checkup tomake sure all is running smooth.Tom , the Tech did a great job of checking thing and explaining all that was done . It is hard (if not impossible) to find standup and honest trades for home repair or improvement. ATS Mechanical lead me through complete AC replacement with upgrades in 2021 and warranty service on multiple issues since; including a complete replacement of my outside unit more recently. They stand behind their work and they hold their providers to stand behind their products. I have recommended them to numerous friends and will continue to do so. Nothing but good things to say!

I want to say first off, Im not a relative nor did I know the ower of this company before I asked for service but I want to say that I called about a repair and the tech was at my house within an hour. After seeing that my A/C system was just gone and just too old to repair, He contacted the sale dept. for me and had the owner come out to talk to us the same day as well, long story short, I can see why everyone has 5 stars and so do I. Excelent service and sales and intallation was the next day and they finished within like 4 hours, the installers never stopped untill the job was done and they were very quiet and professional. Barry Granger and ATS mechanical did an amazing job replacing our three central AC systems. Two were original issue (17 years) and one was 11 years old choked by a drywalled-over return that Barrys team discovered. We were having a drainage issue at our house and wanted ATS to check out. They were able to schedule an appointment with me the very next morning after I contacted them. Jordan, the technician, was on time and both polite and super knowledgeable. He let me know what he was doing every step of the way and happily answered any questions I have. We were very pleased with the crew from ATS Mechanical. They removed the in attic equipment as well as the outside units. The owner, Barry, explained how the existing duct work was inadequate for the amount of air the air handlers were capable of and had the crew replace the ductwork with the proper size for a well balanced system. Of the three bids I received, ATS was the only one that mentioned that.Very fair pricing and excellent performance.I highly recommend them for your next service !!

These guys are amazing, I initially was using another company but called ATS for a second estimate when I had work done back in December and not only was their quote a 4 digit number cheaper, they were very quick, professional and I have not had any issues with their work.They came out today to repair the other side of my system and not only found the issue, got it fixed and had me back up and running same day. Their guys are very knowledgeable in HVAC and it shows in the quality and expediency of their work.

We had our old A/C company come out to give us our annual check up. The next thing we knew, we were facing a $3,300.00 repair bill to replace our coil. My son recommended that I get a second opinion. Boy, how glad I was I took his advice! Barry with ATS Mechanical came out and checked our system for us. He was very knowledgeable and such a good man. He looked around and came back and told us our outside coil was caked with mud. It definitely needed washing off with a hose. My son followed him back out and it was filthy. After he washed the mud off, Barry rechecked the Freon level which had been over filled by my old company. It had registered a lower operating level because it was working so hard with all the mud caked on it. I wondered why the old company didn’t clean it or at least tell me about it. After all, I had a maintenance agreement with them and had just spent $7,000.00 with them earlier in the year replacing all my duct work. Barry lowered the Freon to the correct level. My numbers returned to normal. The amazing thing was our air conditioner cooled so much better the next week! ATS saved me $3,300.00 on an unnecessary repair. Now I wonder if I needed the new duct work they sold me for $7,000.00 8 months ago. ATS Mechanical is my hero and my new A/C company. So honest and did such a good job!10/10/2020 This is an excellent company. They came and did maintenance check and rebalanced my air for me. It was actually successful, which I had great difficulty getting done correctly. I am very happy with their work.

ATS just follow up with my winter evaluation (12/09/20)of my Furnace. They as usual were timely and very professional. The follow up did not cost me a dime. Thanks for the great service from Shawn and his assistance.I did my research before choosing ATS to replace my 5 Ton Trane AC. I received an honest price and great service. I screened at least 7 contractors and most were pretty honest but a few were out the window with their prices. They did an excellent job. I certainly would recommend them.

My air conditioning went out on a Sunday at the end of August. I really did not know who to call because my previous ac guy was not around anymore. I looked up ac repair in the area, saw really good reviews for ATS and gave them a call Monday morning. I had a service call the same afternoon. Shaun assessed the situation, let me know what would be needed and when it could be done. It was late in the afternoon and I needed a compressor so I just had to wait until the next morning to get the repairs completed. I appreciated the fast service, did not feel any pressure to have services that I did not think were necessary and will definitely recommend ATS to my friends and family. Shaun was a great teacher-so patiently explaining things and answering my questions.

We reached ATS for an evaluation on a system for a house we were selling and under contract, this was conditional for the sale, Mr.Barry offered a free inspection. He went on time to the appointment, reviewed all equipment and indicated the repairs needed, we have another company that quoted for the same equipment significantly higher and did not indicated additional repairs in ducts needed that were damaged as well.We ended hiring ATS for better price. We are really impressed with the quality of work, the equipment setup and all neded labor was done properly, on time and with high quality. He personally went when the work began and explained to his foreman the whole installation and came back before the time of delivery to inspect all work. He took the time to explain me everything they did in detail. Additionally, the crew protected all floors and walls with tarps and proper covering that ended up with a clean and well executed job. I have been using ATS Mechanical for several years now, and I have always been impressed with their service and pricing. The owner, Barry Granger, and his techs, Shaun and now Jordan, are super knowledgeable about our system (one unit serving three levels) and ensure it runs optimally. They arrive on time, send a notification when close, and follow up with electronic documentation. I am on an annual plan, which is reasonably priced and includes a discount for parts and repairs. Highly recommend them.

Brock and Jordan were great! Brock was honest, knowledgeable, and answered as many questions as possible. He was with us throughout the entire process, coming back to walk through the completed work afterward. Brock found a connection was loose and made sure that it was secured by Jordan who did an excellent job. Jordan has now been to my new home twice...he always arrives early, is knowledgeable, informative, and does a GREAT job! Very helpful - I have 2 units and wasnt sure which thermostat worked for which unit, because half house was hot. He showed me why and adjusted the temp on the one unit and showed me how to use that thermostat (Ecobee) that I was unfamiliar with. I will always ask for Jordan - he is an asset to this company!

Brock did a great job showing us our options of systems. After we chose, the crew was here at 8am the next day and knocked it out. Had ac 3 hours later. Great QC follow up afterwards as well. Definitely recommend!

Thankfully, the technician called and asked to arrive 2 hours early for our AC repair. He was thorough when diagnosing the problem and very conscientious. He moved a gate and worked around a blockade we had in place to keep our dogs out of the area of our units; he made sure to put it all back in place when he left, and he did so without me asking him to. The technicians name is Jordan and he was very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. I will welcome him back on our next repair.

Checked pricing for 3.5 ton new AC split system with several local contractors. ATS Mechanical was the lowest and best contractor by far. They came out and removed the old unit and installed the new split unit within about 6 hours. The unit is working great. The individuals that worked at the house were both courteous and a pleasure to be around. The office answered all my questions. Excellent company and will recommend them to others around the office.

They were very helpful and detailed with their estimated cost to replace and install a new system. I felt like their pricing was very fair and competitive. Lilliana was so sweet and kind when answering the phone. It was a joy talking to her. I was very pleased with the installation and they even sent me a reminder email to come out to do a heat check up for the winter. Barry was kind enough to bring out a window air conditioner for us during the install because we have an elderly member of the family who could not be without air conditioning. I responded to a door hanger primarily because I saw a service truck in my area. Knowing that my system needed to be checked out I called for an appointment. It turns out that Jordan, the service technician, lives in my neighborhood. Well that was convenient I was really impressed with his knowledge and expertise. He did not try to upsell me on services or unneeded repairs. He did offer some suggestions on my ductwork that I found extremely helpful. I was impressed enough to sign a service contract for one year. I would be happy to recommend them to family and friends.

Top-notch service. At quoting phase Mr. Granger was thorough in his examination of our current equipment and analysis of the problem. He made certain that we had a good understanding of the issues and made certain all of our concerns were addressed. The price was very reasonable. The installation was quick and professionally done. Mr. Granger arrived with his crew on time and once they had completed the job he came to inspect it, explain what had been installed and why. Not only was the furnace replaced, solving the issues we had with that but the A/C is now also working more efficiently due to the proper size duct work on the intake being installed. Phoned ATS Mechanical about a problem with the thermostat for my AC. Shaun with ATS responded and was at my home in under 1 hour. After examining my system and performing some tests he advised that my thermostat needed replacing. Shaun was very good at explaining the cause of the problem and also provided solutions that would be less costly. I will use ATS Mechanical for any HVAC needs that I have in the future. I was very satisfied with their HVAC service and repair.

He even provided more cost effective alternatives to help us on the expense. He was prompt on the estimated time he said he would be at our home. The owner, Barry Granger, came out to give us an estimate on a complete HVAC system. He explained everything in the quote and he left us with a good impression. After we went through all of our estimates we chose ATS Mechanical to do the work.His guys had the old unit pulled and the new one operational sooner than what was expected.When Barry came back to make sure everything was completed correctly, he left. When I was learning the thermostat, we noticed it just went blank. I called ATS about 5 minutes later and Barry returned to figure it out. Got to admit, I was a little skeptical of a full 5 stars, but the number of reviews helped make my decision to try ATS after disappointing and overly pushy techs with my last service company. But man! They 5-stars don’t lie. Jordan was outstanding. Professional, courteous, and very thorough. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained things intuitively and easy to understand. ATS is now my go-to AC company.

I only had a short time with this company but my overall experience was great! I called to have someone come out to give me an estimate on my AC. They scheduled for Shaun to come out. While replacing a 1 year system is not something that I wanted to do, Barry made this decision an easy one for me. He walked me through the problems that existed in my current installation, from the duct work to the chose in system sizing that was the root cause behind my lack of cooling and high humidity issues. He explained everything thoroughly and his team completed this job in one day. On the same day of installation, my house was back to a normal cool temperature, 72 degrees at night and humidity was back in that 50% sweet spot. I could not thank Barry and ATS enough for making this an easy process.

Our A/C crapped out on a Friday. I started checking on getting anyone to come out and see what the problem was. That being said no one ever showed. To make a long story short, by Tuesday still no resolved. I called ATS and spoke to Barry. He was at my house in just a couple of hours. He evaluated the A/C and made recommendations. He was very courteous. I decided to go with his company and have an American Standard A/C installed. Wednesday morning his crew was here at 8am and tore out the old and installed the new and they were done by 1pm. The house was cool by 3pm. Remember we had now been without A/C for 6 1/2 days. The inside was 90 degrees with the outside at 95. The job was clean and neat. Barry came out at about 3pm and checked the install himself. A couple of days later Shaun came out and did a follow up and made some minor adjustments.I would recommend ATS for your HVAC.

ATS was called to evaluate/fix a noise coming from our AC blower. The service tech called to let us know he was on his way and showed up on time . He listened to the noise and quickly identified the problem. He had it fixed in 20 minutes. He was polite, professional, and competent. The charges were very reasonable and we were very satisfied.

This may have been the best experience with a contractor I have ever had. We were somewhat disappointed with our incumbent Trane Heatpump Dealer who came out to give a bid to replace our existing 16 year old Trane unit. The bid seemed high and was lacking detail, so we decided to call an ATS an American Standard Dealer. The difference was immediately apparent. From the first phone call until Barry appeared on time, in a marked ATS truck, and company shirt, and would not even come in the house until he and his colleague put on disposable booties over their boots, the visit was professional. He inspected the entire system, and then explained it as an Engineer would regarding what he saw with our existing system, how in a positive way of explaining it, what he would do differently and why (which being educated myself, I could tell he was being absolutely truthful). He then built me out three quotes (from my basic request up to the top of the line Heatpump), that had all the details of what he was to do and what we were getting. The top bid came in lower than our old dealers lowest bare bones quote with no ducting replaced. We called Barry back that evening and scheduled the installation. His team was on time at 8am, in fact Barry himself was there 10 minutes early, to set the stage for his team. He had an entire team there to get the installation done. They were respectful, professional and got the job done on time. The workers you could tell had worked together a lot, as there was some light banter going on while they worked. Barry then did a final walk through with his Service Manager to explain all of the new features and what we would expect from the new AS Heatpump, and how to use the new web-enabled thermostat (which by the way, is really awesome). In closing, as I said above, this was probably the best contracting experience I have ever had. ATS and Barry did a top-notch job done professionally at a fair price, and I would not hesitate to recommend them and American Standard (Heck they own Trane FYI). Thanks again Barry and ATS, for being professionals.

The owner Barry was extremely helpful in providing us with estimates for a two zone HVAC replacement making our decision easier. Barry answered all of our questions with promptness and detail. On the day of installation, Barry and his workers showed up on time, were courteous and very informative as to the dismantling of the old and installation of the new equipment. The process went without a hitch. At the completion of the installation, Barry toured the new equipment with us and explained everything involved including the new UV lights and thermostats installed as part of the proposal. We had issues with a prior company that was sent by our home warranty and did not want another home warranty based company to inspect our system (they are just not as knowledgeable) We contacted a few companies and they gave us the run around, ATS was the only one that kept their appointment when they said they would come out, Sean (technicians name) was extremely knowledgeable and not to mention took every measure and precaution while in our home. He checked out our system and found that the previous company had contaminated it by putting in the wrong refrigerant. Drew up a plan of action and was in communication with us the entire time. Extremely professional, detail oriented, knows his business and the entire process was painless. They definitely care about their customers which now in days is a rarity. Had a follow up call from Barry (Owner..super nice guy btw). So that in itself shows the value of customer service that they provide and lacks in this age with others =)

I purchased a new AC unit from them. The install was done perfectly and they exceeded all of my expectations. They did not try and up sell me on equipment I did not need and the had the lowest quote I received. They arrived on time and answered every question I had. They where the only contractor I had to measure all my equipment and preform unit sizeing calculation to make sure that the duct and unit matched. Durring final install the walked me through everything they did.

After getting an outrageously high quote on replacing 2-19 year old heaters, I decided to get a 2nd opinion. I was very impressed with Barrys work experience, knowledge and honesty and would highly recommend him if you want an excellent job done at a fair price. Barry came to my house twice...once to look at my units, take pictures in my attic, draw pictures of what he would need to do and to give me a quote. Then he came back on the day the heaters were installed prior to completion to make sure the installation was done correctly. You get the manufacturers 10 year warranty on parts and the 20 year warranty on the heat exchange. In addition, Barry gives you a 2 year warranty on the labor as he said he makes sure the work is done right the first time. Yeah for 2nd opinions!

I had to call Barry the owner of ATS HVAC Repair on the 4th of July wknd. If yall dont remember it was hellish hot and the humidity was 100%. My upstairs AC stopped cooling and my thermostat panel kept turning off. I took a picture of my thermostat and he remotely interrogated my unit and told me immediately what the problem was! My condensate drain was clogged and the float switch was tripping. He told me how to fix the issue and offered to come later that day. I was able to get my unit unclogged and functional but I was tired of unclogging my daughters sink. With the heat and high humidity the HVAC unit was running on OD! I had Barry redesign a new condensate drain system so this problem would not recur. Both my units are working great now and I am so happy with the repairs. His employees finished the job and did an outstanding job. They also cleaned up after themselves something my wife definitely appreciated. Overall you cant go wrong with Barry and ATS!

ATS was prompt and professional. They came out to examine my existing equipment and give me an estimate. Their recommendations were consistent with my research and their bid was very competitive. There were no additional or hidden costs. They did the work they promised to do and replaced my system in kind. Barry and Shaun were just a phone call away if I had any questions. I had received a couple of estimates before Barry arrived. The estimators more or less glanced at the unit and quoted, Replace the A/C unit with (model.) Barry crawled all over the place and pointed out issues with ducts, wyes, access port and unit drainage. He knows his stuff.Barry was also able to offer next morning replacement. He wrote up a detailed estimate including remediations to the A/C surroundings, both for the unit he was replacing and the other unit. I accepted immediately, which is very unusual for me.The installation crew was efficient and precise. The new install and its surroundings look fantastic, and they kept the house clean with drop cloths along the path to the attic.I forgot to cancel two estimators that showed up afterwards. They both looked at Barrys quote and said, We cant touch that. You got a good deal.

Barry. I was the best !! I talked to him and he came then same day to my house. Explained to me everything about AC. Used translator because English is my second language. Used a translator and we communicate really good. His workers are the best, they came on time and did a really good job. After they were done, they cleaned my house and was completed clean.. very pleased with his services.

Purchased two American Standard units (4 and 2 ton) and planning on 1 ton mini-split for room over garage. No problems to-date, satisfied with installation and service.

Needed help with detailed setup of two newly installed HVAC systems, installed by a third party, that were not functioning correctly. Barry and Shaun (with an apprentice) took personal responsibility for diagnosing the problems and calling in American Standard experts for help. Systems now appear to be working as designed. Fan wasnt working on heater. They arrived earl y for appointment. Quickly diagnosed as bad run capacitor on the motor and replaced it. Tested all for function and safety. Happy with the outcome and price was fair. I liked that they explained what needed to be done and why.

ATS Mechanical did a very good job installing the Mitsubishi mini-split in my kitchen. The heat pump system is new to me and Barry explained well the components and principle of the system and how its efficiency will save me on my electric energy.

Had to replace the ac/heater in our 15 year old home, not something we were looking forward to from the financial side of things. After obtaining several quotes from other companies, ATS stood out from the rest not only from a price stand point, they also specialize in air management and proper duct routing so that you can get the most out of your system.If your duct work isnt routed properly, (ours was a mess) a new ac/heating unit isnt going to be very effective.

I received 5 quotes to replace my air handler and A/C. Barry Granger was the only person to notice the ducts being squashed and over loading the air handler. He built a 1.5 foot box to attach the ducts and made Ys as not to overload the handler. He was a little more expensive but well worth it. He is very knowledgeable and personable. A pleasure to have met him.
