Tom with Smart Comfort Services was great. He helped me work through my home warranty company who were a bit difficult to work with but Tom helped in the process. Tom communicated very frequently with updates which was helpful in the replacement of my furnace on my rental property. Highly recommend Tom for you AC/furnace needs in Houston. I’ll have him on speed dial for my future needs!

This review is based on my own experiences with Tom Lee of Smart Comfort Services where he earned his way onto my list of contractors / service providers that have a proven track record of integrity, are always a pleasure to work with, and most importantly have never let me down or anyone that I’ve referred him to. Tom Lee, Smart Comfort Services has earned his way on to my short list of contractors that I endorse.I have known Tom Lee for years. I met him in 2021 at a Galleria Area Commercial Property managed by one of Houston’s top property management companies. I was evaluating a flat roof when I heard a boom lift and looked down and saw Tom and an associate of his staging a telescopic lift to remove and replace an AC Condenser. I came down off the roof to introduce myself and inquire as to what they were doing.After briefly talking with him I called the property manager to verify that he was an approved vendor. When she answered my call I explained, “Hey, this is a courtesy call to verify that Tom Lee of Smart Comfort Services is an approved Vendor in your approved Vendor Program?” She replied, “Yes he is in our approved vendor program, as well as has been my AC Technician for my home for some time, and he is incredible!” I replied, “Great that’s good to know, I lost my residential AC Tech to Covid and have been looking for a replacement Residential AC Technician for my home in Katy, Texas, thanks!”Prior to leaving the property I exchanged contact information with Tom Lee and chatted for a little while. It was evident that he is passionate about what he does, and I showed him a famous quote from Saint Francis of Assisi, “A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. But he who uses his hands, mind, and his heart is an artist.” I first found this on Google Plus a long time ago and to this day I have kept a copy of it in my Google Photos library.When I come across someone working with their hands, mind, and heart performing at an elevated level I show them the quote and say, “Thanks for being an artist.” With Tom Lee I sent the image along with my Digital Card via text. That was the start of what has continued to blossom and last night when my AC stopped working, I texted him (Image attached of Thermostat) and texted me back, “I will call you shortly, and he did. He also said, “I will be at your house at 9:00 AM tomorrow morning, and he was. When he had my AC up and running, I said, “Thank you so much Tom, your level of service is exemplary.When it comes to referrals for my private client groups, friends, and family, any referral I provide them is the same as co-signing for them as my reputation is on the line.Often when speaking with private clients I hold up my phone and say, “I have accumulated thousands of contacts throughout the construction industry over the last 15 years and have had to deal with a lot of adversity along the way caused by people who let me down, owning their mistakes and making things right. These adversities also provided tremendous educational opportunities and I have learned who I can count on. I am proud to attest that I can count on Tom Lee, he has never let me down and worked on Mother’s Day which is why I wrote this review.Thank you so much Tom Lee for never letting me down. Met Tom at HomeDepot while he was picking up parts for a customers project.I struck up a conversation and he gave me some advice for a project I was working on.He mentioned he had 40 years of experience and to ask him anything. I asked for his contact information and later called him for his advice on a heater vent pipe I was replacing. He mentioned to call him if I had other projects in mind.I recently had new a/c ducts installed but there were not performing like I wanted because I was not getting enough air in a back bedroom and bathroom and I was considering going to a larger section of ductwork.Tom offered to come by and evaluate my recent work. He sized up my a/c tonnage and looked at the ducts and told me that me air flow problem was a result of undersized ducts and a restriction in a duct manifold.Although I could live with it, it was not correct so I gave Tom authorization of correct it.He schedule and corrected the problem, plus he gave me advice to correct an undersized air return to match the a/c tonnage. I intend to add two additional air filter return grills so the intake will be optimum for my a/c tonnage.Tom prides himself on his reputation for telling customers the Truth and doing things correctly where other contractors may deceive customers and scare them into getting brand new systems that may still not meet the customers needs for their home.I trust Tom for any future advice and service, but it may be a while since he optimized my system for now.

Tom was amazing and took great care of us ! He was knowledgeable, kind , and walked us through every process. Our cooling system went out and they were sure to take care of us quickly so we could be comfortable again. We were 100% happy with the services recieved.

Smart Comfort Services does not put a customer service contact phone number on their furnace and my A/C was not working. So I Googled the company and an angel Tom Lee (independent contractor) answered me and stepped me carefully thru each step by step to program my Ecobee thermostat. Thank you Tom Lee for your expertise and all your patience, you didnt have to do what you did for us as many would of just said sorry I cant help you youre not in my area. Again we really appreciated your kindness and again the expert knowledge youve been blessed with. Take care

Very professional, very thorough and very dedicated to completing the job. The plumbing problem we had was worse than expected but he worked from daylight through the evening and then returned again the next day with additional parts to complete the job. The whole time he kept us appraised of what was wrong and also what was being done to remedy it. An amazing job and amazing professional. Wholeheartedly recommend for any plumbing needs.

Was right before Christmas. Tom personally Responded.. Was at my house in 30 minutes.. Diagnosed the problem, got the parts.. Another not Easy Chore.. Had me fixed by that afternoon.. Excellent service! By far the best company Ive gone through. We purchased new heating system in the fall and he recently serviced and made some repairs to the AC system, things which should have been taken care of by the company we bought the AC from.
