Best company ever! We have done business with Ultra Mechanical / Alief Air for years. Always a job well done. Recently, the company Owner (Heath) went out of his way to find a circuit breaker to repair our furnace during the freezing weather. He personally repaired our furnace. All accomplished at quitting time. This is service at its best.

Alief Ultra did a fantastic job in a compressed time frame replacing our old damaged HVAC ducts and mixing box with a brand new up to code duct system. Professional and friendly, they were able to explain each step as they progressed through the removal and installation process. They cleaned the return air box and resealed it as a final touch to protect the intake system. Terrific job. I will be contacting them again when we begin investigating installation of a new system.

WE would never consider using another A/C company. We found Mike about 18 years ago when we needed and inexpensive fix to keep an old unit running. Our funds were low and we desperately needed a working a/c system. Mike was able to make repairs at a very fair price. He really saved us!As we moved up financially and were able to by a larger home we continued to call on Mike to take care of our a/c issues. Every house we have ever owned in the Houston area, we have had Alief/Ultra maintain and service our heating and air conditioning. We have been a loyal customer for over 15 years and John has been so easy to work with. He is very knowledgeable and has saved us a few times when we had urgent issues. Also, I would highly recommend the service plan program as it has been a great value to us and has assured that our heating and AC systems are always tuned and ready.

We have used Alief Heating and A/C for 28 years ~ They have provided seasonal maintenance spring/fall every year with qualified and respectful service. Over the years they replaced our outdoor a/c unit and have worked on the furnace to keep it running without replacement. We have never had to make a callback on any service. They have always been cooperative on appointments ~ especially for 90-yr old neighbors for whom they coordinated the appointments with us. We wouldnt even think to call anyone else, thanx to Mike and all the team.

Ultra is great. I have been using them for about 5 years now and they are incredibly responsive. I just had my annual spring checkup and two guys came (i have 4 AC units), Edwin and Jeremy and they were very nice, efficient and capable. Great guys and their dispatch office is also very reliable.

My mom recently had her AC fan go out & this company came to the rescue! They set up a service time for the very next day, the service man (Tony) was punctual, polite, and willing to go the extra mile to help! These folks gave us great service at a very reasonable price. Our AC had stopped working and two other companies looked at it and wanted to sell us on a total replacement for 5,000 to 6,000 dollars without finding (or at least telling us) what the problem was. It took Mike about 20 minutes to find a leak in our outside coil and we had it replaced for $1,650. We are retirees on Social Security and couldnt afford a total system replacement. The whole experience with the owner, Mike, the office manager, Anne, and the technicians, Ron and Sam, was positive and I recommend Alief Heating & Air Conditioning without reservation.Tom and Nicole Temple

We had planned on getting both an A/C unit and furnace, because both systems were way past their normal lifespans. Our A/C had begun to struggle, and was losing coolant, which had been recently topped off in the hope we could get another year or two out of it. We called Alief, and Mike came out and gave us a much-welcomed tutorial regarding SEER, brands of A/Cs, types of refrigerants, noise abatement, financing, and more. He left us with several options. Well, we had already done our homework and so we were pretty sure of what we wanted. Mikes numbers and info added up to just about what we had figured, only he was just a bit less expensive. Thus, we were able to select our system, arrange for financing, and set a date for the job, all within a very short time.At the appointed time and date, sure enough, here came the crew. They took great care not to make any mess, they seemed to work well with each other, they were attentive to our questions, and the job was completely done by 5 pm. We asked for a bit of time after the crew was done so we could see if we needed the air to be balanced, and requested they call or come the next day. They said they would, and came right back the next day and gave the air flow a very careful titer, so that each room got the right amount of air flow.So thats our story. And this is why we have been using their company for the last 15 years. One last thing: two unexpected bonuses: first one was that the unit is very, very much quieter than our former one. That has caused our neighbors to invite us over for drinks and kudos. The second one was that they set the A/C unit atop the 2 plinths already there, and added a third plinth for good measure. Now theres less worry if we get another Harvey.We didnt get paid for this review. Helen raised Mike right, and would give him what-for if he didnt run a decent and honest business.

The company I work for has used Alief AC for 20+ years so when it came time to replace my 18 year old unit I knew who to call. I called Mike and told him what I needed and he gave me a very competitive price on a new 16 seer Trane unit. Ron, Arron and Sam showed up on time and was all done in about 6 hours, taking out the old unit and installing the new unit. They did a outstanding job and cleaned up everything. They know how to work as a team. Mike the owner even showed up brought the guys lunch and helped outNot sure who to call for AC work make this your first and last call.

Jeremy has given me the best customer service for over 10 years. He is always pleasant, honest, kind, and is very knowledgeable. Jeremy patiently answers my questions and looks out for my best interests.

We have been depending on Mr. Holder for our cooling and heating needs now for over 23 years. We havent been disappointed to date. Service and maintenance have always been timely, thorough and fairly priced. Heath has always been friendly, courteous and very respectful of our property. We consider him a friend after all these years.

Having needed a/c repair quite a few years ago, we were referred to Alief A/C, and they have always done a wonderful job for both on our furnace and our a/c.  They are always responsive - submitted a request for a/c service Sunday night and we got a call Monday morning saying it would be taken care of same day.  Our unit is over 12-years old, so we cross our fingers each summer that it will keep on going. John just finished - he has been here before & he found a wire had burned, which overloaded the system (which is why there was a horrible clanking noise).  He replaced the wire, checked the Freon and said we were good to go.  Their prices are very fair, but their service and response time is why we will continue to always call upon them for any a/c or heater issues.  We have referred neighbors to them and will keep doing so.

Starting with Mike who came out and inspected my systems and ending with Sam, Aaron, and Greg, I highly recommend this company. Sam Aaron and Greg did an outstanding job or installing my new unit. They were very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I have used Alief Heating and A/C to replace another AC unit as well as a furnace. They come with my highest recommendation.

If you own a home, then you know what I am talking about. You are walking through your house and something just doesnt feel right. Then you look at your thermostat and realize that your AC unit is not cooling. For a lot of people this is cause for panic. I called Alief Heating and Air /Ultra Mechanical. I didnt call them because they are the cheapest. I called them because I trust them. They have never tried to sell me something I dont need. And they always explain the repairs in a way that I normally have an idea of what is wrong before they get here. Today Jeremy came out and spent a few moments showing me what needed to be fixed by testing some parts with his voltage meter. He has the issue fixed in no time and had time to give my system a health check before going to his next appointment. Excellent service and a reasonable price and they fit me into the schedule the same day I called.

I have used Alief for our AC and heating needs for almost 10 years now. They installed our system and have kept it in top notch shape. Mike and John really know what they are doing. They are always responsive and make sure that the work is done right. I highly recommend them.

We have our main house and a one story rental house for investment purposes. We have asked Alief Heating and Air Conditioning to install new units in both houses. Their work has always been fast, cost effective and excellent. When they say they are coming, they arrive on time. We always feel we can leave the house and it is safe to do so with the Alief people there. We have also had some emergencies with heat on very cold days and air conditioning on very hot days. If I call Alief, they can always find the time in their very busy schedule to arrive and make sure our systems are in good working order. I have used Alief heating & AC for years and they have repeatedly offered great services. One of our AC units was not working. John came on time and got the unit working promptly and performed regular maintenance on the other units too. As usual, John is knowledgeable, thorough and trustworthy.

We were out of town and our neighbor noticed water coming out of the AC drain. I called the fine folks at Alief after hours and Mike called back later that evening and said theyd get right on it. These guys are so awesome. Heater went out following the 2021 deep freeze. I didn’t expect to get anyone for a week, presuming they would be backlogged. They came the same day. Gabe was a really nice young man. He had to obtain a part, and came back later in the day to finish. Very reasonable price. I’ve used them for years, the quality and reasonable pricing continues.

Alief Air has been looking after our a/c since we moved to Houston in 1992. They have come quickly in rain storms and blistering heat. They have rescued us time and again when lightening fried the condenser in the a/c. They have always been honest with us - looking for the cheaper alternative when we were prepared for the worst. Mike is knowledgeable and friendly and we recommend Alief Air without reservation of any kind. When the time comes for us to sell this house and move into the old folks home, we will leave an Alief Air card taped to the kitchen cabinet right where we found one 26 years ago. Thanks, Mike!

As I was home during the day more during the summer, I noticed my a/c ran continually, and my house was never cool. At first I thought it was just the summer heat, but when I got my June electric bill, I knew I had a problem. I called Alief Heating and Air Conditioning and explained my dilemma. Although the lady explained they were completely booked, she told me she would call a tech and see if they could fit me in. I was thrilled when a tech, John, called me back and explained that he was in my neighborhood and could come by that afternoon and at least try to diagnose the problem. I was glad they would be able to get to it that quickly!When John came, he spent a lot of time in the attic and found the problem. Luckily he had the part on his truck and was able to fix it right then and there!!!! I was so relieved!!! He also said he wanted to check the outside unit to make sure it was working efficiently and that the freon level was correct. I was glad to have the entire system inspected, not just the found problem fixed!To top it off, the total charge was less than I ever expected! After John spent the time to explain to me the problem, fix it, and inspect the rest of the system, I feared the bill would be astronomical. But it was more than fair, and they did not charge me for having to fit me in!I will definitely call Alief Heating and Air when its time to repair or (ugh!) replace my unit! The efficiency, service tech, and pricing I received convinced me of that!!!!!

We used them last year for a new Trane and they were great. They did an excellent job protecting our home and the AC works great. Today we called for a service call on an older Trane and they sent a 20 year employee. He got us back up and running for a very reasonable service call. These guys are trustworthy and the kind of people you want working on you home.

Called Ultra Mechanical last week to get the air conditioner serviced. They set an appointment for 9 am the next day. Showed up on time and thoroughly checked, tested and cleaned the air conditioners. We signed up for the yearly maintenance plan as they will come again this fall to do the same with the heaters. Great prompt service at a very reasonable price.

Fast and reliable service. Edwin was our technician for problems we were having with our AC and he was great to work with. Excellent customer service, he was able to quickly diagnose and take care of the problem. I would highly suggest using this company for all your needs.

I cant say enough about this companys service! They said they would be here between 1 and 3. The truck rolled up- at 1:10. The technician - Mr. John Williams was very qualified and efficient. After 30minutes, the unit was blowing cold air. The total time he as here was here. 45 minutes. I would and will recommend this firm to any one in need of ac service. Thank you, John!

This company has the BEST staff and work ethics you will ever find. Mr. Mike is great on listening to any issue you are having and try to determine what it may be. Mr. John has been the actual tech that comes out to work on my units. They have been doing the maintenance on my Trane unit since 2010. They truly try to work on your schedule. The original Trane unit I had was a 1993 model. It finally gave out in 2016. I had a warranty company check it out and never come back, well I called Mr. Mike, he gave me 3 different unit sizes, costs and installation dates. 4 days later which was on a Saturday, the crew came out, replaced all of the A/C unit. I got a better and more energy efficient Trane. Im happy the warranty company didnt come back(which I cancelled) because the new Trane works terrific. Mr. Mike and his staff provides quality products, TERRIFIC customer service, and honest quotes with honest staff. I will not look to any other company. Ive been using Alief Heating & A/C for over 10 years with no regrets. Whether its John or any other technician, I always get a knowledgable professional who knows exactly what to do. Most of the time its just routine maintenance. However, for the times that warrant repairs, I am always confident they will do it right the first time and at a fair price.

Our service rep today was John who is a long time employee of the company and does such a superb job for us that we request his services every time there is a need or annual inspection. He has been doing this for almost 19 years for us and constantly exceeds our expectations. Thus, the long enduring trust we have for John and his company.

Our neighbors recommended Alief Air Conditioning when we woke up on a Friday morning in August and our downstairs air wasn’t working. We called and were told they were booked but would try. I had a Trane unit for 25 years (was still running), but wanted to replace the system while it was still working with another Trane. I received three bids. Two from large companies (they didn’t carry Trane units and the bids were for a smaller system than what I had) and one from Alief Heating and Air Conditioning (bid for the same size Trane system I had). All three bids were approximately the same costs. Alief Heating and Air accommodated my work schedule to do the job on a Saturday and arrived on time and stayed the day until the job was complete. They did an excellent job! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a fair, honest and quality air conditioning company.
